Citizenship and Taxes – Resources and Articles
AAWE was founded on issues of advocacy for overseas Americans – see Our Story.
We continue to inform our members about voting rights from abroad, taxation, and citizenship issues. Each year our umbrella organization, FAWCO, takes part in Overseas Americans Week in Washington to advocate for Americans living abroad and to maintain dialogue with legislators and agencies who directly affect the lives of US citizens around the world.
Here in Paris, AAWE offers seminars on taxation issues, and advises on citizenship for children or grandchildren born outside of the US. Recent seminars included the United States Citizenship and Information Services presentation on visas for family members, informational campaigns on voting from overseas, question and answer sessions on taxation issues, and more.
AAWE members can access our Citizenship Fact Sheet (see below) for information about citizenship rights for children and grandchildren.
AAWE also disseminates information on the latest US tax developments and reporting requirements including FATCA and banking issues.
